Azimullah Warsaji served as the Afghanistan acting Ambassador (Charge d’Affairs) in Doha, Qatar, as a counselor to the Embassy in New Delhi. Previously he served as Director General of the Provincial Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry, as Director General of the Control and Audit Department, and served diplomatic postings at Afghan Embassies in Cairo, Egypt, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, UAE.

Azimullah Warsaji is the Policy Fellow for National Dialogue at Afghanistan House. Before joining Afghanistan House, he served as the Afghanistan acting Ambassador (Charge d’Affairs) in Doha, Qatar. He also previously served as a Counselor to the Embassy of Afghanistan in New Delhi, India. Throughout his career as a diplomat at the Afghan Foreign Ministry, Azimullah was the Director General of the Provincial Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry, Director General of the Control and Audit Department, and Deputy Director of Institutes of Diplomacy. His other diplomatic posting included serving as a diplomat in Cairo, Egypt, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, UAE. Azimullah has also been a researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies in Kabul.

Azimullah holds an M.A. in International Law from the Institute of Arab Reassert and Studies (IARS) Cairo, Egypt, a Postgraduate Certificate in Diplomatic and Political studies from the Institute of Diplomatic Studies, and a B.A. in Mass Communication Department of Journalism, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt.

Azimullah is a published author with a book titled “From Obama Strategy to Emergence of ISIS in the Middle East” and has researched and published Articles, Academic Papers on Strategic Studies, Terrorism, Security Affairs, Peace and Stability to the Stooray Monthly Magazine & Quarterly Journal of Strategic Studies Center. He is fluent in Dari, Pashto, Arabic, and English Languages.
